Condolence: It is so easy for all of us to get caught up in financial success or status, and to honor those who achieve those things. And, yet, any of us know that the life lived doing the right thing quietly and keeping a house and raising a family is what deserves our praise and respect. Gladys spent her life being fun and irreverent, but always without cheapening her true raison d'être, which was to keep the house and raise one of the finest people I know in her Daughter Judy, who, in turn raised two outstanding children, who now raise their beautiful families. THAT is affecting life, not personal success or fame that ends with the life of the one living it. I suspect the Lord is saying to Gladys, "Well done my good and faithful servant."
