Condolence: Our Troop would like to pass along their sympathies to the family. We have shared the news of his passing with our current Troop members and alumni, as it is with great pride that a man so well known and loved is associated with our organization. Thank You to everyone who donated to the Troop in Jake's memory, as all donations to the Troop will pass along Jake's love for Scouting with boys whose families cannot afford to send them to camp, or even purchase uniforms. Jake's remembrance and your generosity will give young boys the chance to make memories to last a lifetime, and help instill the values so many people associate with Jake and his family. It is with regret that we announce the passing of Scouter Jake Dziekonski on November 20th. Jake was active with Scouts in Avon, serving as a Unit Commissioner for several years, as well as in other positions. He was active in the Avon community, as a Lions Club member, and a Village Board member, and was active in his Church as well. He was a recipient of the District Award of Merit, and the Silver Beaver.
