Avon: November 20, 2014 at age 89. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Bever­ley (Farr) Dziekonski; children, Thomas (Ja­net) Dziekonski, Pa­tricia (Stephen) Meg­liore, Deborah (David) Coniglio, Mary (James) Clarke; sisters, Rose Dziekonski, Agnes Holmes; grandchildren, Sarah, Eric, Stephanie, Justin, Fern, Ni­cole, Patrick; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Rinko; brothers, Frank, Peter, Andrew, Edward, Adam Dziekonski. Jake was a former Treasurer for Zion Episco­pal Church, umpired Avon Little League, Avon Lions Club. Member of the Avon Boy Scouts, Genesee Council of Boy Scouts. He was an Avon Village Board member for 8 years. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and Korea.
Family and friends are invited to call Sunday 2-4, 6-8 PM at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 350 Genesee St., Avon. Monday at 11 AM his Fu­neral Service will be held at Zion Episcopal Church, Avon. Inter­ment, Avon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Avon Boy Scouts Camership Fund or Zion Episcopal Church.
